Caring and washing your wraps

How to wash your beeswax wraps

Washing your wraps is really simple. Use cold soapy water and a sponge, scrub clean and leave to drip-dry in the dish rack.

Please don't put your wraps in the dishwasher. Only hand-wash them with cold water.

DO NOT use warm or hot water to clean the wraps, as they will melt. Avoid solvents, acids, vinegar or bleach to wash the wraps, dishwashing liquid is sufficient

.

Storing your beeswax wraps

We keep our wraps on the counter-top for all to see, however you can store them anywhere - as long as they are not in direct sunlight or near a heat source (like the oven, or on top of the microwave). They are often happy in the tea towel drawer.

In warmer weather they can get a little sticky or tacky, but this is nothing to worry about.

Keep your beeswax wraps away from heat

Our wraps do not melt as easily as plain beeswax, as the tree resin helps in keeping the beeswax stable, however its best to keep your wraps away from heat.

Please do not wash your wraps in hot or warm water.

When drying your wraps, please keep hot plates or pots away from the wraps as they may affect the wax.

Do not cover hot bowls or hot food.
